Recognizing Ideas That Move Brennan Forward
The Brennan Innovation Program gives employees a way to share the tools, processes, methods, and creative solutions that improve our work, support our teams, add value for clients, and help Brennan continue leading in complex marine, environmental, and infrastructure work.
The Brennan Innovation Program Innovation Program Details
Innovation does not always have to be a major technology breakthrough. Sometimes, it is a new tool. Sometimes, it is a safer process. Sometimes, it is a simple jobsite improvement that saves time, reduces risk, improves quality, or helps a project team solve a difficult challenge.
At Brennan, we believe innovative ideas can come from any employee, any crew, any project, and any task. Some innovations may involve specialized technology, equipment, or systems. Others may come from daily field experience and a better way to complete the work.
The Brennan Innovation Program was created to encourage, support, and recognize employees who challenge the status quo and bring forward ideas that help our people, our projects, and our clients.
Better Ideas Can Come From Anywhere What Counts As Innovation?
Innovation at Brennan can take many forms. It may be a new piece of equipment, a jobsite process, a safety improvement, a custom tool, a project-specific solution, or a value-added idea that helps a client.
Examples may include:
- A safer way to complete a task
- A tool or equipment modification
- A new jobsite or project process
- A method that improves efficiency
- A solution that reduces risk
- An idea that improves quality
- A process that saves time or cost
- A client-focused improvement
- A technology advancement
- A creative solution to a field challenge
Some Brennan innovations have included larger advancements like the VicVac, Broadcast Spreader System, and robotic survey vessel. Others may be simple but highly effective field solutions, such as creating a crew boat with a hinged bow or using expandable grout to add value on a dam project.
What matters most is the impact of the idea.
