More Than a Century of Solving Complex Challenges Above & Below the Water
Brennan delivers marine construction, environmental remediation, dam, diving, harbor, and energy infrastructure solutions for complex water-based projects nationwide.
Built by People. Driven by Trust. Est. 1919
For more than 100 years, Brennan has taken on work that demands more than standard construction experience. Our projects often involve challenging site conditions, sensitive environments, active waterways, critical infrastructure, strict safety requirements, and complex coordination among owners, engineers, regulators, and stakeholders.
That is where our team is built to perform.
We bring together specialized professionals, purpose-built equipment, deep technical knowledge, and a collaborative safety-first culture to solve difficult problems above, along, and below the waterline. From restoring contaminated waterways to rehabilitating dams, supporting energy infrastructure, maintaining harbors, and completing complex underwater work, our teams approach every project with discipline, communication, and accountability.
A Family-Owned Marine Construction Partner Since 1919 Who We Are
Brennan began with two brothers and has grown into a nationally recognized marine construction and environmental services firm. While our capabilities have expanded, our foundation has stayed the same: do the work safely, treat people well, communicate clearly, and deliver solutions that stand the test of time.
Today, Brennan serves federal and public agencies, energy producers, industrial clients, engineering firms, port and terminal owners, railroads, and private waterfront infrastructure owners throughout the United States and Canada.
Our work is not defined by one service line. It is defined by our proven ability to bring the right people, clear communication, specialized equipment, and expertise together when the work is complex, and the environment is demanding. We serve our clients with transparency and honest collaboration the entire way.

Safety Comes First. No Exceptions. Safety
For us, safety is not a program that sits on a shelf. It is built into the way we plan, communicate, and perform every day.
Our work takes place in some of the most challenging environments in the construction industry, including active waterways, underwater conditions, industrial sites, dams, ports, harbors, and environmentally sensitive areas. That level of complexity requires constant awareness, disciplined procedures, and a culture where every person is empowered to speak up and help prevent incidents.
Through proactive planning, training, observation, communication, and accountability, Brennan works to protect our people, our clients, the public, and the environments where we work.

More Than 100 Years of Marine Construction Experience History
Brennan’s story began in 1919, when two brothers left a small farm in Iowa and built the foundation for what would become one of the nation’s trusted marine construction and environmental firms.
Since then, Brennan has grown through hard work, innovation, and a commitment to helping clients solve complex challenges in and around the water. Our history reflects generations of field expertise, family ownership, technical progress, and long-standing relationships with public and private owners of water-based infrastructure.
It is a story of people, perseverance, and the belief that difficult work is worth doing well.
